Dr Deena Savjani

Dr Deena Savjani qualified in dentistry (BDS) from King’s College London and gained her Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FDS RCS).

This was followed by a three year MSc postgraduate programme in Orthodontics at the internationally renowned Eastman Dental Hospital in London. Deena then completed a further two years of advanced training to become accredited as a Consultant Orthodontist.

Deena is a registered Specialist Orthodontist (GDC) with over 29 years  of experience in orthodontics, and a member of both the British Orthodontic Society and European Orthodontic Society. After practising in Harley Street, London, Deena moved to Leicester to be closer to her family.

Dr Maha Aljefri

BDS, MFDS RCS (Edin), PgCert (Dent Ed), MOrth RCS (Eng)

Dr Maha Aljefri completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at the University of Bristol, and gained her Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS Ed). She then worked in various settings including NHS hospitals in oral and maxillofacial surgery, managing head and neck trauma and caring for surgical inpatients, as well as working in private practice.

Maha then pursued a career in Orthodontics attending a three-year postgraduate masters programme (MSc) at Kings College London. During this time she treated complex cases and carried out a research project on interproximal reduction in Orthodontics, an alternative method to dental extractions for space creation. Maha then gained her bi-collegiate specialist membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in England (MOrth RCS Eng). Maha is also an educator, having completed a postgraduate certificate in dental education (PgCert Dent Ed) to support her passion for teaching and training within the field of dentistry.

Maha is married and enjoys traveling and horse riding during her leisure time. Having grown up in the Middle East, she takes pride in her contributions to advancing opportunities for women in sports throughout the region.

Dr Shamaila Javaid

Dr Javaid has been working as a qualified Orthodontist since 2012, she began working in the field of Orthodontics from very early days of her graduating dental school in 2006. Shamaila did Masters in Orthodontics from the prestigious Kings College London following which she was awarded Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. She did a diploma in Dental Clinical Sciences from Queen Mary University of London prior to dedicating her time to Orthodontics.

What makes you smile? - Outside work, Dr Javaid enjoys beach holidays, short city breaks and taking her poodle Simba for walks and coffee !
